Competition schedule, format, and general information.

Everything competitors need for April 25, including the format, campus notes, and the full event schedule.

General Reminders

During LMO, we will be posting updates to the Discord server discord.gg/wjQ6ejfmvm. Please be on the lookout for any announcements.

For any day-of directions, questions, or concerns, ask a LMO staff member or volunteer. Staff and volunteers can be identified by their gray LMO shirt.

Map and Directions

The LMO will be held at Lynbrook High School, and you can use the annotated campus layout on our map page for a detailed view of the campus.

Competition Format

All competitors should sign up for both the Individual Round and the Team Round. The difficulty level for both rounds is roughly in the early AMC to mid/late AIME range.

Individual Round

  • 12 questions, 75 minutes

Team Round

  • 15 questions, 90 minutes
  • 4 to 6 members per team

Schedule

  • 8:30 to 8:45 Competitor Check-In Arrive in the theater lobby or reception area to confirm registration, receive room assignments, and confirm waivers are submitted properly.
  • 9:00 to 9:15 Opening Ceremony Brief introduction and overview of the competition in the Theater.
  • 9:30 to 10:45 Individual Round The individual competitors then go to their assigned rooms to work on the individual round, with proctors supervising.
  • 11:00 to 12:30 Team Round Teams of 4 to 6 go to assigned classrooms and work on the team round, with proctors supervising.
  • 12:30 to 1:00 Lunch Break Teams eat their own lunch anywhere on campus.
  • 1:00 to 2:15 Activities and Problem Disputes Go to assigned classrooms for clarifications or disputes on problems. During this time, activities by various clubs will also be happening in select classrooms.
  • 2:30 to 3:00 Closing Ceremony and Awards Recap of the tournament, recognition for volunteers and organizers, and awards for top students and teams in the Theater.
